ABOUT

Kypseli Print Studio is an artist-run screen printing studio in Athens founded in 2019 by Eleanor Lines. Initially established as a personal studio for the production of her work, it has since evolved into a space for hosting workshops and artists in residence, alongside her own practice.

The studio acts as a creative hub both locally and internationally, fostering friendships and connections through the workshops and residency programme. The workshops attract people from the local area while the residency brings together artists from the international print community who engage in creative dialogue and collaborate with one another. The vibrant backdrop of the city and the country beyond serves as a rich springboard for creative inspiration.

Eleanor is a British artist born and raised in London. She came to Athens in 2016 for a two-month residency with Snehta. Inspired by the experience, she decided to return to live here and establish her own studio.

With extensive experience in printmaking and arts education, Eleanor holds an MA in Fine Art Printmaking from the Royal College of Art in London and a BA in Fine Art Printmaking from the University of Brighton. Before relocating to Greece, she worked as a freelance arts educator in the UK for several years, delivering creative workshops to children, teenagers, and adults across schools and universities. KPS combines her passion for personal art projects with her love of teaching, passing on and exchanging knowledge with the artists around her. She recently released her debut book ‘Doors of Kypseli’ with Hyper Hypo (a Greek based publisher) which celebrates the Art Deco and modernist architecture in the neighbourhood of Kypseli.
