OPEN CALL 2025
ARTIST RESIDENCY
Application Deadline:
Sunday 8th December 2024, Midnight (GMT + 2 hours)
KPS is a fully equipped water based screen printing studio in a central neighbourhood of Athens. It would like to invite applications from experienced silk screen artists for a 6 week residency starting in March (3rd March - 14th April) or starting in May (5th May - 16th June). KPS is interested in hosting artists who wish to develop their practice, and would benefit from the stimulus of being in new surroundings and have uninterrupted access to a workshop to enable experimentation and focused time on a project. KPS is looking to host up to 3 artists at a time. Whilst technical experience is taken into consideration when reviewing the applications, this is balanced alongside the strength of the portfolio and project proposal.
RESIDENCY DETAILS
Access to a large ground floor silk screen workshop and studio space with a desk on the mezzanine (5 days per week)
A full workshop induction is provided at the start of the residency
Scheduled group meetings for discussions on work, ideas, and development
KPS expects you to be able to work independently but is on hand for technical advice at regular intervals throughout the residency
Open studio event at the end of the residency
Promotion through social media platforms connecting you to the local Athenian art scene
Opportunity to sell work at the open studio event
